Expanded Matter is a 'tool-garment' that places matter and its behaviour at the centre of the relationship with one's own body and that of others. The drawings below present several possible uses.

When feeling anxious or panicky, inflatable-deflatable garments exert pressure on the body, creating a feeling of embrace, calm and reassurance.

The garment or accessory -scape, scarf- can then be transformed into a tool or fabric for protection against an emotional state that is difficult to control.

On a larger scale, this tool-clothing could also be used to rethink the way we enter into a relationship with someone suffering from an anxiety or panic attack.
