CRINOLINE
WORKSHOP SELF CODING FROM 04 TO 08 MARCH 2019
Digital research / 3D Clay Printing / Prototype
Workshop led by Andrea Graziano (Co-founder of Co-De-it), Ianis Lallemand (phD and member of Co-De-It), Félix Agid (Co-founder of EZCT) and Amaël Bougard.
Modelling an object using programming, here Grasshopper (a Rhinoceros add-on) and manufacturing using contemporary digital tools (here an ABB 6-axis robot).

Formal research (Crinoline) --> Creating the shape on Grashopper --> 3D printing in ceramic --> Analysing the behaviour of the material and anticipating the effects of 3D printing.
This material, combined with programming and the use of a tool such as the 6-axis robot, leads us to imagine other uses for clay. For example, it's interesting to imagine a mould made of clay, leaving it to dry and, above all, not firing it. After that, we can make a mould, cast a plaster object - for example - and then melt the clay again, adding water to reuse it.
